| What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)? Community Supported Agriculture is a community of individuals who pledge support to a local farm in return for safe, healthy, and locally grown food. By pledging to support the farmer at the beginning of the growing season, CSA members share in the risk of production and relieve the farmer of much needed time for marketing their product. This allows the farmer to concentrate on good land stewardship and growing high quality food. |

PRICING Due to the purpose of a CSA (paying upfront for products being grown just for you), all subscriptions require either a 6 month commitment or 12 month commitment. Due to the advance planning and investment it takes to raise livestock, all payments are non-refundable.

| WHAT IS IN A SHARE? Depending on the share size you choose, you will receive 10 lbs or 20 lbs of various cuts of beef, pork, and/or poultry. Sample Full Share (20lbs) would include cuts such as: 1 whole chicken 1 cutup chicken or packages of cuts 1lb breakfast link sausage 1lb loose/chub sausage 1 lb medium bratwurst sausage 1 lb slab bacon 2 lb pork chops and 1 lb pork ribs or 2 lb pork roast 2 lbs ground beef 1 lb stew beef 2 lbs steaks 2 lb beef roast Half Shares will receive approximately half of sample shown. We will divide the weight as well as possible depending on our product packaging. Keep in mind, some cuts of meat may be changed or substituted due to conditions out of our control such as weather or our processor's schedule. We will due our best to ensure a nice selection of pork, beef and chicken, however due to "Harvest Time" some cuts may be ready ahead of others. If you choose to join, you are signing up for a CSA and what is ready at the time of your monthly share. |

IMPORTANT DATES AND SCHEDULING APPLICATION & PAYMENT DEADLINE There are 4 starting months to join our Meat CSA: January, April, July, October. PICKUP SCHEDULE This subscription is for a monthly box of natural meats containing the weight you have chosen. Pickup will be at Tidal Creek Co-op on Oleander Dr. Wilmington on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Members must be at pickup location during the designated time to receive there shares. If you are unable to pickup your share please do your best to have someone pickup for you. We will not leave any Meat CSA Shares at Tidal Creek for later pickup. If you are unable to have your share picked up, please notify us 24 hours in advance. We reserve the right to change this date due to circumstances out of our control such as weather or our processor's scheduling. Email reminders will be sent out for pickup dates and time. We also ask you please check this website for any changes before heading to pickup sites on these dates. ***Please do not ask about picking up shares at Farmers Markets. Preparing for market is tough enough due to time, product preparation, limited amount of space, livestock to tend to before leaving, preparing our own 5 children to leave, and some other things I can't remember....... Oh, your share!! :) |
